Summer 2016 Naval Newport Stem Camp

 Mulligan's Island is proud to announce that in support of our local students and community, we will be sponsoring up to 10-students to attend Naval Station Newport's Summer Stem Camp. The camp, which runs from June 26 - July 1, is for rising 8th through 11th Graders. 

Starship POSEIDON STEM Camp is a Navy Newport Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics experience and project camp. Starship POSEIDON is sponsored by the Office of Naval Research, the U.S. Naval War College and the Officer Training Command Newport. Starship POSEIDON was created to take high school students on a journey of STEM discovery through experiences and exposure to practical applications of STEM.

On your application, please note that you learned about the camp from Mulligan's Island by selecting "Other" when asked and typing in "Mulligan's Island" into the box. Once accepted, you should send your acceptance letter to Mulligan's Island by US Mail with a brief letter outlining why you should be considered for a scholarship to attend the camp.
