Parent Child MiniGolf Tournament
On October 20th, 2002, Mulligan’s Island Golf and Entertainment hosted its first annual Parent-Child Mini-Golf tournament. Turn-out for the event was good despite the colder temperatures of October. Twenty-six teams of two competed for prizes including gift certificates, tee-shirts and sponsor gifts. The team of Austin & Matt Kotch finished first, followed by the teams of Nikkolas and Robert Adams and Eddie & Ed Campbell. The tournament was run by Mulligan’s Island Golf Professional Mark Laviano.
“We wanted to host an event which could get the whole family involved.” said Laviano, who serves as an instructor to many of those who participated in the event.
The Tournament which began at 10:30 am was followed by a pizza party lunch. The afternoon was most certainly a success as a good time was had by all. “We’re definitely looking forward to next year when we can do this again. I know that the Kotchs are excited about coming back to defend their title,” said Laviano.
The Parent-Child Mini-Golf tournament was the final event of the season for Mulligan’s Island which hosted several other competitions like the Mini-British Open and Mini-U.S. Open, as well as a Mini-Ryder Cup Tournament which featured “790 the Score’s” Andy Gresh and Coach Colletto facing off.
Due to the success of this year’s tournaments, more have been planned for next year. Look for Announcements on dates at www.mulligansisland.com. To plan your company’s or organization’s next event, Call Jim Piquette at (401) 464-8855.
