The Golf Academy

The Mulligan’s Island Golf Academy provides quality instruction utilizing the latest methodologies endorsed by the PGA of America including video-swing analysis for golfers of all skill levels at a reasonable cost.  

The Academy is proud to employ the area's top Teaching Professionals as staff members. With a state of the art year-round instructional area featuring digital cameras and video swing compilations, golfers are able to work on all aspects of their games. During instruction, golfers will utilize every aspect of the award winning golf training facility to include the Driving Range, Par 3 Golf Course, Pitch & Putt Short Course, and Putting Green.

Todd Campbell, PGA - Director of the Golf Academy at Mulligan's Island
A PGA Teaching Professional with over 20 years of teaching experience, Todd brings his high-tech instruction to the Golf Academy with Trackman, JC Video and K-Vest. He is the former Head Golf Professional at Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk, MA. and has studied with many of the top teachers in the world, including Hank Haney and Jim McLean. He is also a certified by the Titleist Performance Institute, Trackman, K-Vest, US Kids and Eyeline Golf.

Mike Hughes, PGA - Senior Teaching Proffesional
Mike brings over 28 years of teaching experience to the Academy. He is a former Golf Professional at both PGA National and Longboat Key Club in Florida and served as Director of Instruction at the Ken Venturi Golf Center in Chicago. Mike is currently in his 10th season at Head Men's Golf Coach at Brown University and was nominated for 2015 Top Teacher in RI by Golf Digest.

Samantha Morrell - LPGA Apprentice Instructor
Samantha is a standout Rhode Island amateur and collegiate player who brings 15 years of tournament experience to her instruction.  She played college golf at Old Dominion University from 2009 to 2013 where she was the team's first Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Year (2010) and also the first female golfer to be named the ODU Alumni Association's Female Athlete of the Year (2013).  For the last two years, Sam worked as the tournament director for the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls' Golf Tour which is the largest girls-only junior golf tour in the country and headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina.  In 2016, Sam was inducted into the North Kingstown High School Athletic Hall of Fame for her golf accomplishments which include three consecutive RIIL Girls' State titles (2007-2009). Sam is currently enrolled in the LPGA Teaching & Club Professionals program to become a Class A teaching professional.
